Hi! Who are you and what’s your role?
Hi! I am Melvin Evers, 36 years old and I live in Huissen with my partner Linde and dog Sep. And in February 2023 we’ll welcome our first daughter. Since December 1, 2021 I have been working as Purchase Manager at Unlimited Productions.

How did you end up working with Unlimited Productions?
After 13 years of doing business with Unlimited Productions, it was time for me to join the team.

Can you tell us a bit about your day?
Calling and emailing! Together with the project/production managers we make a plan for the relevant projects, after which I contact the suppliers. After that, the quotation process will start. This process goes from request for quotation to confirmation with purchase order and the matching invoice.

What makes working for Unlimited Productions great?
The team! You create the project together and with each other. Everyone has their own specialty and knowledge. And together this results in very beautiful productions.

What makes Unlimited Productions different from other technical production companies?
The versatility in experience of both national and international productions. In addition, there is not only a lot of knowledge in the technical field, but also a lot of knowledge on complete productions.

What has been your favorite Unlimited Production so far?
In my past this has certainly been the production of the Martin Garrix shows in the RAI. And since my switch to Unlimited Productions, this is the Dutch Veterans Day. The amount of materials, different suppliers and transport makes this a challenging and fun production. Definitely one for the books.

What do you do in your free time?
Enjoy everything in life with friends and family. In addition, regularly taking a walk with our dog Sep. And of course a football match of my beloved club should never be missed!

What inspires you?
My partner, family and friends.

What is one word that you would use to describe your team (or our company)?
ONE! (team)

How much has the event industry changed recently, and how has this affected you?
Since the COVID-19 measures have been reduced, the event industry has exploded. Events take place in the same time period, resulting in a scarcity of materials. And the prices of these materials have skyrocketed. That makes it extra challenging to get everything arranged, but certainly a fun one!

What’s the most memorable event you’ve ever been to and why?
Defqon.1 (from 2015 to present). I was able to facilitate this event a number of times with my previous employer. And to see the growth that this event has gone through from the beginning until now… Then you can only have respect for the organization.

If you could choose any show or production, what would be the one you would like to work on?
Tomorrowland. This production is complete from A to Z, and has been arranged down to the last detail for the visitor. You can only learn from this (no matter how old you are).
