The Rotterdam Philarmonic Orchestra turned 100 in June 2018. To celebrate this, the orchestra organized a large centenary on the Schouwburgplein. This event was organized as a gift to the City of Rotterdam and its residents and attracted around 4000 spectators. Spectacular final piece was the live screening of the Anniversary Concert by the orchestra from a sold-out De Doelen in the evening. In addition, the concert was also viewed online and listened to by more than 80,000 music lovers in 74 countries.
