On June 26th the 15th Dutch Veterans’ Day took place. The day includes a march in the center of The Hague, reviewed by King Willem-Alexander. Before the march, a private ceremony is held in the Knights’ Hall (Ridderzaal) and decorations and commemorative medals are presented in the Binnenhof to military personnel who have recently returned from deployment. Veterans’ Day concludes with a large gathering on the Malieveld. Veterans’ Day 2019 attracted 75,000 visitors to The Hague.
