Meet the team: Rik Audenaert

Commitment, flexibility and teamwork are some of the qualities of our crew. Unlimited Productions offers the creative and technical expertise to make your event memorable and effective. Because you might not know all the faces behind Unlimited Productions, we’d like to introduce the team to you, one by one.

Next up: Rik Audenaert

Hi! Who are you and what’s your role?

Hi, I am Rik Audenaert, Project Manager at Unlimited Productions.

How did you end up at Unlimited Productions?

More than five years ago I started as a freelance stage manager for Unlimited Productions. This project was held in Shanghai, China. Since then I have worked on several more projects and have been able to visit many countries together with Unlimited Productions.

Can you tell us a bit about your day?

My day starts with a good cup of coffee. Or maybe, more than only one. During office days I prepare challenging projects and communicate with all of our clients and suppliers. This is all about planning, finance and giving advice on technical issues. During load in / show and load out days I keep an overview of the overall planning and coördinate our suppliers. Together we make a great project with a fantastic end result.

What’s the best part of your job?

I like to stay in contact between our client and his/her wishes and goals for the project. Achieving the best with everyone involved and giving each other a -virtual- high five after a show, is what I get the most energy from. Also making drawings and the administration part of organizing an event is what I really like.

What makes working for Unlimited Productions great?

The team! Everyone likes to share his/her ideas and knowledge to achieve the best result for the next project. Also, the informal ambiance I like the most, work hard, play hard!

What makes Unlimited Productions different from other technical production companies?

We don’t give you just a calculation or quotation with materials and labor on it. We like to help the client and give advice to the client. Not only that, but we think within the concept of the client and achieve the best quality in everything we do; from drawings to production scripts and for all our equipment we bring to the project.

What has been your favourite Unlimited Production so far?

I haven’t been employed at Unlimited Productions for a very long time, but in 2019 as a freelancer I traveled through some of the biggest cities in Asia with Unlimited Productions for a big corporate event. That was such a nice experience! Now, I am busy with the project management of several virtual events and later this year projects at different locations and countries. I like them all!

What advice would you give to anyone who is thinking of organising an event?

Make sure you got the concept right. If so, it makes it a lot easier to achieve your goals and for us, it makes it a lot easier to take care of all your worries.

What do you do in your free time?

I like to be on the road with a car, motorcycle, road bike or a normal bike. In the summer, I like to be on a boat and have a nice BBQ and drinks with friends. By the way, drinks with friends can also be in the spring, winter and autumn.

What inspires you?

New technologies and gadgets to try!

If you did not do your current job, what would you like to do?

Well, I definitely like my job and being part of this pink Unlimited Productions family, but if I have to choose: starting my own McDonalds, not because of the food, but the whole concept; it’s like a giant machine. It is fascinating.

What is one word that you would use to describe your team?

Progressive. Always looking for new opportunities, innovations and trying new things. Growing as a company and growing on a personal level.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In a house that I built myself with all new gadgets and technologies.

Please come up with a question for your colleague that we will interview next.

What is the craziest situation that you have ever experienced?
